Used a GEM Micromatic Open Comb safety razor for 62 of the last 109 days of this calendar year (including last night). I might like this razor
Nacet is a very good blade, nice, sharp, smooth.
I’m learning patience as I wait for the hot water to return after my wife’s shower. My mouth is getting less sore every day so I’m far more inclined to get a shave in. It’s looking like an ATT X1 AC Slant evening shave coming up in half an hour or so.
I learned yesterday and today that feather light touch provides an irritation free shave with a rough blade.
That $1 bought one helluva shave back in '71.
That my Matador Deluxe is a great head shaver as well as being a magnificent face razor. Turned a harsh blade into a smooth feel.
It took me a while last evening to get my chin area smooth but light pressure and patience got me there. It’s almost 8AM here and no whisker feel yet. Lovely 12 hour shave, even with limited hot water and problem areas included.

Using the PAA el Fantasma’s handle on a razor with a steel head is simply awesomesauce. Looking forward to misusing the handle of the PAA Filament if they become back in stock.
I got a second Filament a while back….. to replace the one my wife claimed. They seem to come back in stock every few weeks, I think, though you can ask them to notify you, as I’m sure you already know.
Sent the notify me email a while ago. Ability to do that seems gone for now. Guess I’ll settle on perfection for now
I say to myself every time I use a razorock aluminum lupo … this is the best shaving razor I have ever owned without question. I’ve had every razor imaginable for the most part and this is the one I enjoy the most.
That the Muhle DE is actually a really good blade, nice level of sharpness and smoothness, went extremely well with a Pre War Canada Tech, I was quite impressed.

The KCG razor is super mild razor, like really, really mild.
I like razors that don’t require such overwhelming demands like a shred of common sense.
the lighter the touch, the better - I thought I had pretty good technique going, but am really trying to dial it in.
Using your first de, a Manscaped DE, can give you a good shave if you know what you doing. Yes, I really typed that, any comments are welcome.
