It says Merkur doesn't produce any DE's anymore . The funny thing is that you can buy them at any respectable online shaving shop!
What I also find funny is that he only recommends aftershave balms. I used to only use ASBs thinking that any AS would be the harsh on my sensitive skin. Lately I have been using AS (with sometimes a little ASB afterwards, to make sure my skin doesn't dry out too much). Results with me are actually less irritation compared to using only ASB.
Anyway, YMMV...

It doesn't say that.

"Gillette is the designer of one of the finest razors ever made, the Double-edged “Heavy Duty” Safety Razor...Although they don’t make them anymore, a German company named Merkur is continuing the legacy with the same high quality and design. Search for the Merkur Heavy Duty Safety Razor."

I noticed that statement about Merkur as well. They were referring to Gillette but used poor grammar. I got the feeling they had been watching Mantic's videos because of some of the lingo they used.

That, and the link to Mantic's video in the middle of the post :)

The is probably one of the better articles I've read on the subject, and the amount of opinion stated as fact was much lower than most other articles. I tend to hear a lot of don't use this product or technique, when they should be saying try what ever you'd like b/c who know what'll work for you, however I/we don't recommend it. Has anyone noticed this a lot in other articles, or is it just me?
