What's new

Hi everyone

Hi,

I'm in my fifties and have coarse facial hair. I like to use cartridges because I am lazy and stay in bed until the very last minute then quickly shower and shave, and go go go.

I've always used sensor twins blades; I find 3 blades and onwards a bit too big for my face. For some reason, I always remember the older sensor blades from many many years ago giving me nice shaves.

I'm here because I like the site, and I'm interested in seeing what other twin blade cartridges (alternative to gilllette, and hopefully better than gillette ) are out there to fit my sensor handle.

Hello to everybody!

I hear you and am in the same boat as you. Whenever I use cartridges, I go with Gillette Skinguard. They are better than the Sensors in my opinion.

Thanks for this, not heard of this before! Head looks too big, but the head of the disposable version looks really interesting. I'll start posting in the subforum - probably Modern Shaving Systems.

Hello to everybody!
I am the same in the morning. Which is why I won't shim and play with Razor gaps like with the Fatip. If you are looking to stay with Cartridge razors, I would give Harrys a try and Maybe Doller Shave club. Handles are proprietary and the search may be a long one.

Hello, and welcome from western North Carolina. I'm not much help - gave us single-blade carts about a year ago and started DE shaving. But there should be some assistance for your here.

Most of us are not in a hurry, and enjoy the shaving process, it's a bit of "me time" to indulge in good products and not hurry things.

However I understand the urge to get the chore over with quickly and efficiently. However, some here sing the praises of the Gillette Mach III, and they are the biggest seller, I think.

If I were using a cartridge, however, I'd use one I had extensive experience with back in the day, and which is still a good seller and the highest rated cartridge on Amazon, for what that's worth, and that's the Gillette Sensor Excel 2-blade. Try that and see what you think.
