West Coast Shaving question

Sorry if I've posted this in the wrong section. I was trying to do some shopping at WCS this afternoon, and as I've been trying to access the https section of the checkout at https://westcoastshaving.com and get a webpage unavailable notice when trying to check out with the items I chose for purchase. I don't know if it's something on my end blocking it or not. Is anyone else having problems accessing the secure checkout?

Just curious if it's only me or not. Thanks!

If you look around on the sight I think there is a phone number you can call to get ahold o oh John. I couild bt wrong though, it may just be in the reply emails with invoices and what not. I just looked and don't have any of his old emails.

httpS is for extra secure servers which they prolly dont use for whatever reason in the world! ;-)

That's what it sends me to when I try to actually use the checkout is to a secure HTTPS address (specifically https://westcoastshaving.com/index.php?main_page=checkout_shipping ). I suppose it's there to encrypt and protect data being transmitted such as credit card numbers. From what I understand it would be foolish to transmit such data over an unsecured regular http connection.
 
I've had some issues with their ordering section which I think are due to being on a Mac using Safari web browser.

If that's true for you, try Mozilla Firefox or order on a PC.
 
Thank you for the suggestion. I'm trying to order from a PC and it's not working using IE8, Firefox, Chrome, or Opera. I'd try ordering on a Mac, but I don't have that luxury :wink2: I'll assume their website is down for the time being. But whether it's a connection issue on my end or theirs is what I was trying to figure out.
 
The site is all messed up. I tried to checkout with both Paypal and standard checkout and kept getting errors. :thumbdown

Thanks a million for checking. I was troubleshooting my end in hopes it was just a simple firewall issue or such, but wasn't getting anywhere fast.

Sorry for all the site issues today. I woke up to the SSL cert being down which prevents you from ordering. We value your private data and will not allow checkouts without proper encryption. This problem has been elavated as high as can be and there have been many people working on it all day. It looks like we finally have the problem licked as of right now. Once again, I apologize for the inconvenience.
 
Got my order placed and all feels well with the world again. Looking forward to seeing the shiny new goodies arrive in the near future. That new style Muhle razor kept calling out to me. "Order me, you need me, you want me, you can't live without me...". So obviously I succumbed to it's otherworldy Siren like call.
