Weird Darwin Razor

OK, this auction finally ended so I can post my question....what the?????? I know we have said that these Darwin's were handmade but I doubt this came from the factory this way....half brass...half solid cobalt steel. I'm sure it's a frankenrazor but if you really look at it...someone went to the trouble to really machine that handle to fit the head. It apparently screws in perfectly and they rounded the top of it off to match the head. Does anyone recognize that handle? Whoever bought it got a great deal on the Darwin Deluxe head. Yes, the razor looks weird (to me anyway) but the head is intact and should provide a great shave! I don't know how to post the pics from it here for posterity if someone else would like to.
