Wedge Blade problem

Hello Gents.
I received the Henckels Rapide I purchased recently with a wedge blade and its metal cover like thing. To check it I removed the blade from the metal cover. Putting it back seems bit of a problem as the opening of the cover seems smaller than the thickness of the blade. As this was designed to be used for shaving daily it shouldn't be so cumbersome I guess. However I'm still unable to figure it out.

Since there are many gentleman here use this razor I appreciate any help in this regard.

At the same time I'm thinking of having some more wedge blades to practice honing and stropping Does anyone have usable spare Blades.

Thank you in advance

Are you referring to loading and unloading the blade on the razor? Or is there a separate case for the blades?

If you were referring to loading and unloading blades into the razor there is a round nut on the threads of the handle below the head that screws downward to allow the metal guard to release and then tighten when the nut is screwed upward, not sure if this is what you were asking though...

No There is a special case for each wedge blade. You have to slide in the blade from one side. When I got it blade was inside but after removing it looks very difficult to put it in. Its the one with two holes.

I'm not near my gear, but that is a wedge blade holder and that is not a wedge blade. The holder is supposed to hold the wedge blade in the case, not in the razor. It is merely to prevent the sharpened edge of the wedge blade from contacting other things. The actual wedge blade goes in the razor by itself.

Yes But My question is How to insert the blade inside the blade holder. Because To check it I removed the blade from the metal Holder. Putting it back seems bit of a problem as the opening of the cover seems smaller than the thickness of the blade. Is there any catch or any this to open up the entrance of the Blade Holder

Well my new question is what are the metal objects (with two big hole) in the right side of Alex's picture?

what do you use them for?

Finally got a chance to do this. I had forgotten completely about those small pieces.

blade in blade holder, strictly for storage.

How it protects the sharp part

Sleeve fits on the blade spine. It acts as a spacer. It holds the blade away from any part of the holder.

The sleeve fits on the spine, the sleeve slips into the blade holder.

The blade in the razor - just the blade. Pictured loose in the razor.

I hope this helps?

At Last The answer I was looking for. Thank you very much Jim. I was so annoyed as I thought I'm not expressing my self very clearly for others to understand the question. I should thank the others badgers also for the support.

Of course you are welcome. The misunderstanding was mine when I mistook your picture of the spacer on the wedge blade for a modern blade.
