Weber handle

I just received my Weber handle today it added a good amount of weight to my 180. I keep seeing posts here about less pressure with a heavier handle so me being new to this should I use no pressure and let the weight do the job in order to get a closer shave?

That's what I would suggest, the heavier handle should take care of it, stay light!

You will have to gauge how you need to change now that you have a different handle.

Typically a heavier handle will make it easier to shave with less pressure as the handle weight will help keep the head on your face without the need of exerting additional pressure.

Very cool looking handle. It should make for a fine razor when combined with the Merkur head.

Thanks Red this handle makes the razor feel like a real tool now and not just a toy. I gave it a spin tonight and got a pretty good shave, I still need to work on my technique a little.

FWIW, I also bought the Weber Classic handle with the Bulldog to go with the Weber DLC and also really liked them on my EJde89l. Somedays I feel like a lighter, shorter or heavy handle

gota love the weber bulldog, use light pressure, enjoy.

straight razors need "light" pressure also.

I love my Weber handle, which I use on my Muhle R89 razor.

Yeah, as you can see the lighter the better. You'll see how much better the end results of your shave will be by doing that. It takes a bit of getting used to, but once you get it down your shaves will improve a lot.
