Weapons of choice today. Black Beauty Omega Royal Crown Pomade

First time trying out this black beauty today and quite happy with it. Was pressed for time so was not able to do any touch up work. Did three passes WTG, XTG,ATG. Started on setting 5,3,2 and got a awesome shave with redP's. Been holding off on getting a black beauty birth razor but with getting such a nice shave in a rush will have to hunt one down soon. Lathering technique is getting better due to the brush breaking in (i think). And for those of you that style there hair with pomade, this Royal Crown pomade is prime, Great shine and hold. Not the same hold as Murray's but way easier to wash out. Went to Santa Cruz CA freshly shaved and styled. Wifey could not be any happier being with a Dapper Dan man! If anyone is interested in getting this razor after I get my birth black beauty let me know :001_cool:

Very nice. I keep my hair relatively short and have used a variety of pomades, waxes and other goops. For a long time I really liked a fairly dry wax that came in a twist tube....sort of like a deodorant twist...but they stopped making it. I went through tons of different products until I landed on a product called Zach's Wax Molding Creme. It's really not a wax, but a firm creme. I don't like anything that makes my hair dry hard and crunchy. I just towel dry my hair and leave it while I apply aftershave. Then I put it on barely damp hair, rub in until all the white is gone and brush through. I don't have to touch my hair for the rest of the day + it's not hard and crunch. The bonus is it smells like coconut. No nasty hair product smell. Not so strong as to linger or interfere with any cologne or aftershave you might use. It's just a nice scent.

They also make a Pomade, but I don't really care for the texture or shine. I like a matte hold.

Glad you found something that works for you.

I'm not sure where that damn 2nd "attached image" came from, but I'll be damned if I can get rid of it.

HAHA! if that second image works for you hair why not!:laugh:

I've never seen that molding creme before might have to try that out when taking a break from the petro base stuff. Thanks!

Yeah, that 2nd stuff works when we have "dress like a fairy princess" day at my office!

The molding cream is nice. Washes out really easy, which is another thing I like. You mentioned Murry's....I need to check that out too.
