He says that the best day of duck hunting he ever had was when he hunted through Hurricane Hazel. Apparently the noise of rain and wind was so deafening the ducks never knew he was there, even when he was shooting. He only left when the island he was on got more than a foot underwater, because he didn't feel like spending a week up a tree in the middle of the Allegheny. When it started to get up to his knees, he paddled the jonboat home, took a hot shower, cleaned the ducks, and then went to face the wrath of my grandmother, who was apparently not amused. She *still* gets angry at him about that #grins#
