This arrived yesterday from France where it is assembled. The brand existed up until the 1970's, went under, and was resurrected in 2019. Quartz and true to remaining the tool watch that is was, used by test pilots, etc. Very reasonable and there are a number of variations. I like the plain face, no calendar, and the vintage vibe. Bonus is effortless legibility.
Smaller vintage quartz appeals to me. Retro vibe, comfortably thin, and high level of accuracy. The integrated bracelet design fools the eye with a 32mm case on a 7.25” wrist.
Last week while wearing it on my trip to New Orleans, I was asked at a Happy Hour what kind of watch is that? When I told them a Concord they replied they thought it was an old Omega, likely referring to these neo-vintage Constellation models. I like those too!
I bought mine in 2005. It's overdue servicing so I took it off the winder until I get around to it. I tripped and fell on one of my speed walks and it got scratched up.
