Vintage Personna Hospital Blades

Yeah I bought an eBay lot of blades. Over 100 individually wrapped blades.

Some were Gillette thin blades. Most were Personna. Half of which were labeled as Personna Hospital and half that were plain white wrappers.

Of the Personnas, half of the Hospital labeled blades were Tungsten *74 blades and a third of the plain wrapped Personnas were too.

The plain wrapped blades were actually printed on the inside and only looked plain prior to pooping the seal and unwrapping. The inside surface of the wrapper said Personna stainless, yet a third of them had 74 on the blade itself and said Tungsten.

I plan on using the others first, not the Gillette thins, as they are Personna stainless. Very nice blades in my experience.

Should the day ever come that I run through my crazy hoard of Gillette spoilers and Schick platinum plus blades, I can have solace in knowing I have a small mound of Personna 74 blades in unassuming wrappers.

After learning that some of the Personna Hospital blades are 74's after seeing the epic score here I have had an eye out for similar blades.

However, in my score, they were not all 74s. An obscure packaging to say the least, but hit or miss if you're hoping to land some Tungsten blades.

Just for completeness, I bought a lot of a couple of hundred Personna "barber shop" blades that were sold with the wrappers inside out as well (plain glossy white on the outside with the actual printing on the inside (reverse folded from those in the store), bulk packed in a plain cardboard box. They were the 1969-71 Personna's, the ones made immediately before the Personna 74.
