Vintage English Restoration - Rooney?? Please weigh in

Just finished this restore for Taipei Personality. Its a vintage lathe turned handle that is made in England. Beautiful cream color. The shape looks very similar to some vintage Rooney's I have seen posted. On the bottom of the handle it is stamped England with an <R> above it. Can any experts weigh in on their opinion of whether this may be a Rooney? I believe I may have seen a C&E brush with a similar handle.

Its a pretty large, hefty handle standing 58mm on its own. I has an extra stuffed Finest knot from Golden nib, set at 55mm. Handle was almost mint with nary a scratch, and buffed out really nice on my new Grizzly low speed buffer....I love new toys.

I am not an expert, but the marking on the bottom is similar to the one on a vintage Rooney I have and it also has a similar handle to the one you posted.

There have been several vintage Rooneys with labels intact on ebay recently. Most of them are a variation on that shape. Marcoparis shows the one he acquired in this thread, which looks similar except it's a butterscotch color.

I have a couple of vintage Rooneys. One is a similar shape but shorter and wider. There are some other similar Rooneys to yours in the butterscotch thread.
