What's new

Very nice Ever-Ready lucitefound today. Keep as is or use it?

I picked up a minty octogonal Ever-Ready lucite brush with a stained and I believe mis-matched box for $14.

More than I usually spend on an old brush, but the handle is nice. The knot appears unused, but is shedding, which I've found out usually stops after a few uses.

Anyway, the brush says 9341 on the bottom, the box says 7650-6 on one sticker, and 7650-5 on the other, and they don't line up, so I'm sure I've got a mixed box and brush.

Should I let it be, or use it? I use almost all my brushes as I buy mostly nice vintage ones.

Sir, I demand pictures!

Replacing the knot in lucite is a little bit more difficult than a solid color brush, but worth it in my opinion. Try it out and see how it performs and if the shedding stops. If you like it, use it. If it is a problem, replace the knot.

Here is a thread I started about Ever-Ready lucite brushes, the 9341 is not on the list.

Don't have pics, but the handle looks like the 3rd and 4th full size pics. Oh, what do the numbers usuall mean?
