Very Funny Shave Kit "Review"

This post except for two.

Khurram Khan says: Hilarious!!!

Mr. Khan gets the joke. Two points for you!

Jonathan D. Wells says: This is a child's pretend shave kit. You are remarkably stupid.

Mr. Wells misses the joke completely. Minus Two point for you!

Any one who has kids or grandkids should get this product because it promotes DE shaving at an early age!

What's really worrying is that the "razor" is cartridge type and not a real man's razor ie DE. It's clearly an insidious propaganda tool of P&G to brainwash today's youth into multiblade cartridge addiction, starting at an early age. What's next - crack cocaine in the baby formula???!!!!!

Even more worrying, some of the young boys are using it to SHAVE THEIR LEGS!!!!! Talk about a recipe for gender identity confusion in later life! No wonder Gen Y are a bunch of label-obsessed, cartridge-shaving, constantly-texting sissies! Kids today .... don't get me started ........

I noticed that, too. The review did provide a laugh, though.

There is a frightful lack of DE toy shaving sets. There are some truly outstanding vintage kits that include plastic three piece razors and blades. Not something you are likely to find at the local toy store, however.

I solved this problem when I had to cannibalize a Super Speed in order to make a good razor out of two bad ones. The razor I took apart now serves as the "Shaving with Dad" razor, merely a handle with no silo doors, but perfect for the task. The kids like that it's a real razor.

Good, funny review there. I have to mark it unhelpful 'cause he disses boar brushes and doesn't give props to tallow soaps...:biggrin1:

I read the review and thought about just letting my grandson use a Tech without a blade in it to play shave with while he watches me.

My brush has enough lather for the booth of us.

You may laugh, but the brush in this kit makes a very usable travel brush. How do I know? I picked up one of these kits (it was the Sponge Bob version) for my GF's 4 year old nephew when we visited the family in CA. I had to jettison the can of aerosol moldable foam soap because of TSA regulations, but my intention was that we would all lather up with some of my Proraso and shave in the morning. I brought a travel brush with me but decided to face lather with the toy brush on a whim. The nylon bristles were floppy as hell, and the lather wasn't abundant, but what it did produce was dense, slick, and very cushiony. I actually gave the kid the toy razor and kept the brush for myself. Not bad, since I picked up the kit on clearance for $3. The kid loved the razor, btw.

Who needs a Merkur when you can have a Sponge Bob?

I'm sorry but I think it's funny you stole the brush out of the kit to use as a travel brush.

be prepared if you do a google images search for a large size picture of the "Alex Toys Rub a Dub Shaving in the Tub". :w00t:

Honestly, I really just wanted a bigger picture for some use in the future....
