UNBLOCKED! (at work)

YESS!!!

I am posting this from behind the iron curtain. I am now un-blocked at work (not sure for how long, though). :)

I really miss you guys and although I get to stick my head in the door once in a while in the evenings its just not the same as being an active part of the community.

I'll probably try to stay under the radar for a bit anyhow.

B&B is the greatest!

Sincerely,
Chadtheguru

Ha! I know how that is. I've been block, unblocked, and blocked again from B&B and a few other forums I frequent.

Use TOR ( The Onion Router), it is free and will unblock all of the sites. Google it and it will come up. Fair warning, it will slow things down.

Yeah, I tried everything short of setting up a private proxy at home. They have their bases covered. I can't complain, though. I should be working when I'm at work. :/

Just fair warning but bypassing work security is a good way to be shown the door.

+ a bunch. If caught working around security, many employers will not be amused. Be careful out there!
Very true! Remember, the proxy and firewall are there to protect you and the company. You don't really need to access B&B at work, nor do you need to look at anything else your company has blocked. I'm glad OP had B&B unblocked at work, but to all you others who might be getting around your company's security: just don't. It's no with the risk to you or your job.

I wish I could agree wholeheartedly with this statement. My company installed blocking software last month and didn't think about what they were doing. They blocked several sites which I may not need to access every day, but do need to access them to do my job correctly. My department has a two page and counting list of sites we need to access, but of course IT is too busy to get to that.

Yeah the job recently changed security companies and I am now blocked, but not from other shave forums. How curious? At any rate it has cut down on my posting and RAD a lot. Also can't make up the time at home as the SWMBO gives me looks once I have been on the interwebs too much.

You are soooo done for now! Now when the smokers are out you can spend an extra 15 minutes with us! Surrounded by people with the same interest as you...perfect site to be on.

Modern IT staff knows their stuff. Won't work behind most office firewall...
Those that works, the IT staff ought to be fired

No kidding..

This is why you have a smartphone.
Crappy signal out in the sticks where the office is. :(

Agreed!

Being well shaven and well groomed for work seems work-related to me. If blocked again, you should have a talk to your system administrator and explain how it benefits both employees as individuals and the company as a whole.

Renato
