What's new

TWO more bite the dust

A recent check at the Caola-Alfa and Ultimate Super-max Corporate pages reveal that the wonderful Caola shave cream ,the only one left that still sported the companys name and the 3 varieties of Ultimate Super-max creams ,classic, menthol, and lemon-lime , have all disappeared from the line-up..These were really nice creams ,at very reasonable prices ,hate to see them go...

From Hungary? I would have thought they aremtoo westernized to be using creams with brushes. Or maybe this is why they are no longer.

I agree malocchio. Very fine creams these... my vendor still has I think about 7-8 supermax creams left, I'll pick them up on the next visit. Sadly, no Caola... I'm down to half a tube.

Vlad ...you gotta be kidding !! Hungary cranks out fabulous creams and decent aftershaves,Barbon,Figaro and several others...

More than just these two. I went on the Biofresh website for Rose of Bulgaria and do not see the shave cream listed anymore. I have an e-mail into the rep to see what or why this is.

Caola makes Figaro and Barbon yet they only marketed this to Africa as we have discussed before. That limited it's success even more by having only one region.

Hi Ron and Joe,

I will check too, but it would not be surprising if they really would discontinue another product that is wanted by many.

Are the Super-max also from Hungary and maybe even also from Caola Alfa? I have never seen them in their catalogues.

Will get back on this,

Bye,

Eric

Yes,and Bulgaria produces many ,many more creams than these !.Bulgarian output is more than Russian output.I have used all of these Caola creams, including the Africa-Middle East only tube. They are ALL great ,but if I only could choose one ,it would be the KUPA .The Kupa can go up against any high end British cream, and in Bulgaria and most of Europe, these are very inexpensive creams.

I have found and bought Caola shaving cream, manufactured in Dec 2012.the ingredients list now same as Barbon.only a minor spelling differences and some fragrances being added including a oakmoss extract.

L & R...Let us know how you like the lather it makes. The expiration date means nothing,it will last many years in a cool dark place. This Africa-Middle East tube has never been on the Caola official website...I really enjoy the scent and quality of this cream.

I remember seeing the Caola in a supermarket here a couple of years ago and I bought a tube. The scent and everything else is so similar to Barbon that I almost thought that it was Barbon being marketed for the Middle East.
