Tweezing

I have read how people who use bump prevent, and their methods. How do you tweeze with ease? I only say that because after a shave, it may be a day or so before I can get a hold of the pesky suckers. Is it worthless for me considering my growth isn't as fast as others?

I am prone to ingrown hairs and it made me hate shaving for a LONG time! If you have a nice mirror with a magnifying side and a really sharp pair of hair pulling tweezers (tweezermans in the $20 range should do it) and a steady hand you can usually get them. Even under the surface, the really sharp edges of the tweezers should help you pull it up. I've read a super soft tooth brush can be used to rub the area until it comes up (I have uber sensitive skin and so I've never tried that method). You could also use a very fine sharp sewing needle or straight pin and use just the tip to try and lift the hair up (going across the shaft, not along the tip, though that can work too).

If you have any more questions regarding ingrown hairs and dealing with them, feel free to PM me, I've dealt with them for ages and my GF taught me the wonders of proper tweezing!

I also use a sharp sewing needle (it's actually the finest needle for my awl) and tweezers.

Sometimes there are hairs that just don't want to come out and you have to wait. One of the best things I've found to prevent or lessen the ingrowns is to get a good rest and stay hydrated--that way the hairs grow more and your skin stays softer to allow them to come out better.

Lately I learned that holding a warm wet cloth on the bump for a few minutes helps a lot in seeing and taking out the hair. If you still can't see it, reapply the cloth.

+1

For me, my skin is always a direct reflection of my general health, amount of rest and general level of hydration. If I have a day where I didn't drink a lot of water, it will invariably result in dry skin, more irritation and more ingrown hairs.
