Hey everyone, I recently got a tub of TSD's version of proraso red in the vetiver scent and holy crap it is the worst thing I have ever smelled. I know vetiver is not for everyone, but could I have possibly gotten a bad batch, or is it just me?

TSD's Proraso Red type cream has bit of a wheat scent to it. I'm sure it has something to do with wheat germ that's one of it's ingredients. My guess is that vetiver and wheat germ do not make a good marriage.

That did cross my mind, I quess that's why the other tub I got in peppercorn smells like cookies.
Are you a vetiver person? A lot of people simply don't like the smell. I happen to love it - should've got the TSD wheat in it but, alas, I chose sub zero.

Well both tubs are up for sale now, the vetiver just smells to bad to me and the peppercorn gave me a bad reaction.
I'll be adventurous and give the vetiver a try. I like the stuff, but TSD's version might be different. I'll just have to try it and judge for myself.
If it really is bad, I'll give Salter's Vetiver a try. What can I say? I LOVE vetiver!
