Trumper's Coral Skin Food-Pricey but nicey

Today was first use of Trumper's Coral Skin Food. Had been waiting to finish a bottle of Thayers' Cucumber so I could open the Thayer's Rose. Shaved with Trumper's Rose Cream. I must say that even though the Coral Skin Food is pricey, it worked very well for me. I used a small amount, about the size of a dime. It really made the skin feel great, and the scent lingered for about an hour. Had to wait until I was almost out the door to apply Clubman. No conflict with the Clubman after I had let the fragrance of the Skin Food dissipate. A keeper, even if pricey.

Glad to hear it, since I just had a bottle of Lime skin food arrive today. I've read a real wide variety of pro and con posts about Trumper's Skin Food, and I'll decide for myself how it works on my skin.

Enjoy your Coral,

It is billed as both a pre shave and after shave. I have tried it both ways. As a preshave, it works well. It noticeably increases glide, using it with Trumper's Rose soap. That said, I am generally not big on pre-shave products, as I prefer a good prep. As an aftershave balm it works great. It has a nice skin feel that is hard to explain. It leaves the skin moisturized, but neither greasy or sticky. It has a nice light rose scent, not overpowering, that lasts 1/2 hour to an hour. You don't need much. My normal post shave is warm rinse, cold rinse, pat face lightly dry, meaning it is moist but not soaked. Then Thayers witch hazel which I let dry while I clean up the den. After this dries, I apply the Skin Food. It won't interfere with EDT or cologne once it dissipates as noted. It is an expensive product, I paid $22.00 for a 100 ml bottle. I would buy it again. I understand that there is an unscented one, and I would certainly consider buying a 200ml bottle about $35.00, which would last a long, long time. You only need about a dime size to do your face.
