Trepidation, Tabac & TLOTH

Greetings lads,

Tabac polarizes. It's either love or hate. And being the OCD kinda bloke I am I just HAD to pick up the AS to go with a recent acquisition of the soap.

Anyway, it's Saturday evening here Down Under and after a couple of hours tending to my roses I retired to the den for the standard ablutions and Saturday Night Luxury Shave. Lathered with Tabac and then applied the Tabac AS (first time!).

TLOTH was upstairs working on her Mac so, being Saturday Night I mixed us a couple of drinks (Vodka mules) and gingerly (pun intended) walked the drinks to her. As I proceeded to hand over her beverage I ensured she got a good whiff of the AS.

She loves it. Described it as powdery and clean. Nuzzled the neck and inhaled.

Phew!

Anyone else get a little antsy testing fragrances on the significant other...and if so what's the worst reaction you've had?

I actually hated Tabac aftershave when I first tried it...I wanted to dump the whole bottle ...but SWMBO loves it so I kept using it again and again.....now I absolutely love the scent.

I have been wearing Tabac since the 70's. Started with the cologne. My father also wore it. My wife likes it, as opposed to when I wear my drug store splashes, her reaction is "You wearing that **** again"! It is my go to in colder weather.

My wife caught a whiff of my Tabac EDT last week and nuzzled in very appreciatively -- commenting on the clean, fresh scent. Then the other day at work I was wearing Tabac and a female work friend standing next to me commented on how nice I smelled -- no nuzzling in, however! So I say it's a keeper!

Methinks it's one of those scents that blokes might be on the fence about but most women quite like.

SWMBO like Tabac on me but after it's worn down a little. As for the worse reaction, well thats got to be Ogallala Bay rum. I loved it but the family just went "PHEW WHATS THAT NASTY SMELL?" kinda embarrassed me. I only then wore BR when at home a lone. USed it all and now not allowed to order any kind of BR at all.
