Usually when I get a shaving soap I don't buy the matching ASB. I like neutral balms that can go with anything really. But I would advise to get the matching ASB to go along with this EJ/Muhle's Sea Buckthorn b/c the aroma is just excellent to my nose. After shaving with it, you want the lasting aroma of Sea Buckthorn. Any who I had quite the shave and the Nivea pairs quite well. Have an excellent day friends!

A great shave for a Monday morning. I don't think about the Arko unless I'm traveling, but it is such a good product for the pennies per shave it costs. And the Dovo 55 is a legend in its own right. If you ever happen upon one, do not hesitate to pull the trigger. Of course, the Maxterpiece scales make this one an even more proud member of my very modest shave den.

AS/ASB: SOAPY (Svoboda M'il'niy)

I didn't like the smell of Soapy at first, but it grew on me. About 1 1/2 almonds worth provided plenty of lather for three pass on face and two on head. Crazy good lather, quick to develop and held together throughout shave. The ASB is a bit thick for me, but did soak in eventually without a really greasy feeling.

I decided to spread my travel kit out over the week. Today's part was the sample bottle of Royalle Lyme. I like to save and use samples for travel, but this little glass bottle is destined for many refills. I really like this lime, but like all the others, it does not last very long at all.

Good morning.

I decided to hold off from the ‘Travel Kit” inspired shave today as I was eager to try out my recently acquired and newly repaired F-1 Fatboy. The razor was inaugurated with the following shave:

Musgo Real pre shave oil
Calani Dubai shave soap
Mühle Basic Nr. 02 shave brush with Silver Tip Fibre
1960 Gillette Fatboy razor
Feather blade (2[SUP]nd[/SUP] shave)
Bloc Osma Alum
D.R. Harris Bay Rum after shave

Nice. Having shaved a lot with the Futur and the Vision over the past weeks, my skin is used to a bit more edge and I decided therefore to start today’s shave off with the Fatboy set to 5. It still felt a wee bit mild, so after the first few strokes I dialed it up to 6. And that felt just about right. 2 beautifully smooth and efficient passes were all it took to achieve my standard DFS. Just nice!

Got five very sharp (like Feather blades) but smooth and comfortable shaves with the russian Ladas blade.
Today`s sixth shave was a bit scratchy against the grain, so it is the end of her journey.
