Tourist back from German shopping trip

Hi,

Just a quick note, I am just back from Germany (last night) and managed to spend some money on "stuff" in Germany. I picked up 3 Merkur razors, Futur, Slant, and travel. So far I have tried the slant one time and have used the Futur for about a week and really like it. I know there are many who do not like smooth handle but so far that does not present a problem, or that it's a bit big, but again not a problem. So far I would have to say I really like it a lot.

I was able to pick up some Tobac, Irish Mose, and Speick products plus a tub of Taylor's. I have not had a chance to try everything but so far I really, really, like the Taylor's - a lot.

Once I get over the jet lag I'll post over some more comments.

By the way I think I was very good on restraint for purchasing items, but my bag was a bit heavier coming home

I have had a couple of nicks - but I was just being careless and trying to hold the razor a bit different. But all in all - I think I am going to really like the razor. I had one of the better shaves ever today with the Futur, Feather blade, and Taylor's.

I am not sure, I have never purchased it here. If someone would post what's in the stuff here I could look and see if it's the same as what I have.

Was it difficult finding the Irisch Moos?

I have a friend that lives in southern Germany and I was going to ask them to score me some but I don't want them to have to hunt high and low for it.

I had no problem. I was in Bavaria when I picked up some in a large shopping center, Donau-Einkaufszentrum, the store was Müller in the city of Regensburg Germany. You can find their web site with no problem. I just did a bit of a search to find the store.

But to tell you the truth I just tried the Irisch Moos shaving cream and was not thrilled. I was just about to look it up on the review. Also, the after shave is not quite what I would prefer. I'll use it but doubt I'll buy it again.

Now I am liking the Tabac after shave......
