What's new

Top, in Tip Top.

Just found a beefy full hollow razor. Marked TOP Best Steel 333 on the tang, and had a faint etching on the blade "Best Hollow Ground"
13/16, spike. this thing weighs a ton.
Warped scales, some active(red) rust, black stains, and a tiny bit of pitting.
Edge was rust free, and has only 2-3 micro chips in the bevel(less than 1/4 the width of the bevel.
No country of origin, nor any city.
I would assume that it is American.
Anyone have any idea?

Jimped on top and bottom too...
But if it's not a rare blade, it may be getting some thumbnotchy goodness added.:w00t:

And snazz up the tip while you're at it....

:tongue_sm

How wide is that spine? A full 1/4"?

You got some meat to work with on that razor! I like it!

I am at work right now, so cant measure it. But it is at least 1/4 inch thick. and I couldnt even see any honewear on it.
I dont know what I want to do with the tip yet, might leave it as is for now, until I get another DA to practice on.
