TOBS Sandalwood Scent Different Between Soap & Cream?

I bought some TOBS Sandalwood soap in April. I love the scent. Recently I've been using creams more, and wanted to get the same scent in a cream. I'd assumed that the TOBS Sandalwood cream would be the same (or at least close) as the soap, but the tub I got for Christmas wasn't the same. It's not bad, but it's definitely not the awesome scent that the soap has.

Has anyone else noticed this? Has there been a change in formula recently that would explain this?

I don't know anything about a reformulation, but I agree that they are different. In my experience, the SC is more spicy than the soap and the soap is more powdery than the SC. I like the soap, but don't really care for the SC.

I have smelled the soap but never used it; however, I have used the cream and it's a much stronger scent. It took me the entire shave to get used to it. It's not a bad scent, but not exactly what I expected.
