TJ Maxx's Misleading Customer Sales Pitch

Update to my original report on the misleading sales pitch used by the employees at TJ Maxx to get me to apply for a Chase Bank credit card..............................

Today a letter from Chase Bank came to my address saying Chase couldnt find a social security number for the name that was submitted to them by the sales clerk and the bank asked for additional information. The Chase letter was addressed to my middle name only and entirely omitted my last name. Only the address was right.

The clerk must have entered my first and middle names, but failed to type in my last name while punching the buttons on her cash register/computer terminal. My sides hurt from laughing.

Thanks to you guys that warned us about the effect on credit score when an application for credit is denied. Im not going to reply or respond to this letter and the application should just die on the vine. Saves me the trouble of calling them to withdraw the application that the TJ Maxx clerk tricked out of me.

Lessons learned are like bridges burned-
you only have to learn them once.
