Things that do not mix

As I was trying out a new blade, I shaved some bumps off. Quickly after shaving I put on some Nivea sensitive and a drop of Proraso anti-bleeding gel.

20 mins later I had a burning sensation on those spots. All puffed out. I splashed on more Nivea and it coagulated immediately to lumps.

Shortly put: Nivea (and I think emulsions in general) does not mix with Proraso weeper gel.

Other stuff?

You know Nivea gets a good rap from most people. For me it never worked, it's always made my skin go red and blotch and the deoderants give me a rash. The cool kick line of products just cant go near them. Terrible stuff for me.

You might want to use an old fashioned styptic pencil next time you get a bleeder.

As far as what does not mix.....

Trumpers limes cream and ME...

It was like pepper spray when I tried it.

Turned my skin bright red and inflamed for 3 days.

I've heard that following an alum block with Nivea Sensitive Skin balm causes irritation. I've never tried it myself. Can anyone verify this?

I use an alum block almost every day. I sometimes use Nivea sensitive after the block (usually in the coldest part of winter). I've never had that reaction.

About the only things that truly do not mix are alcohol and razors.

Very bad combination (don't ask)

Elios blades and any razor don't mix.

Water and GFT Violet soap doesn't mix. Even if you add a brush, they still don't mix.

Numbers on the blades and thinking about them - they don't mix either.

+1 for me. Nivea products and my skin don't mix. I get red, irritated blotches. Very itchy.

It's almost always my daily routine and it's never been a problem for me. I find the combination quite soothing. But we are talking about our faces here so there is certainly room for variance. As always, YMMV.
