Right, I saw the 'blade flipping' comment today, looked at it and thought, mmm, this is something that comes up quite often. I did a search and found the following:

I probably missed some but, it should summarized that flipping the blade seems to be in the gray zone. It will probably stay in there but I thought if we can track and record who does it, it would give a fair idea on how we use our blades.
If you vote yes or no, please give your input for your yes or no. There might be a valid reason do to it or not.
Another trick on how to extend your blade's life (if you want to do it) is hand stropping. However, we will keep it on flipping the blade. Hand stropping seems to work but I never had definitive results out of it.
Myself, I used to flip my blades and I stopped. I was able to maybe squeeze an extra shave out of the blade, sometimes not. I stopped doing it since there was no plus value. I understand the principle of having the edge of a blade in a "V" shape. If i use both side of the edge by flipping the blade, logically, I should get more out of my blade. It wasn't the case for me.
I found this picture a while back and thought it was interesting.
