The Icebox

So, I have this old refrigerator, well it’s labeled as an electric refrigerator. It’s from the 1920’s. Between the time of the ice box and the refrigerator with a built in compressor, there was this thing. It was basically an ice box with refrigerant lines that ran to a compressor/evaporator in a basement or utility room. In this case it was built into an apartment unit in 1928. I had a few plans for it; refinish it and use it as a liquor cabinet; sell it; or refinish it and create an awesome humidor. I know, I know, I can hear everyone yelling HUMIDOR as I write this. Problem is, I don’t smoke cigars. Now I think that the universe may be playing the hand as well. There’s the original distribution tag still affixed to the back. Apparently, this unit was sold by “A. E. WATTS & CO. LTD., 473 Ouellette Ave, Windsor, Ontario”. Now A. E. Watts isn’t around anymore. But 473 Ouellette Ave is still there. In fact, it’s the home of “Humidor 1 Tobbacconist”, the only local tobacconist of note locally if you’re looking for a pipe tobacco offering beyond Captain Black or Borkum Riff. So, as if I don’t already know, what’s everybody’s thoughts?

"Can't Raise an Eyebrow"
I would research its value as an antique, if any, before making a decision to repurpose it. There are people who collect all sorts of weird things.
