The Good, The Bad & The Ugly

I received another couple of brushes in the post today and it occurred to me that this would be a good chance to take a couple of photos and share them with my fellow inmates here on the Brush Forum.

The Good

Nice, elegant and friendly brushes.....

The Bad

These are the serious, workhorse brushes.....

The Ugly

My soap stack starts to wobble when I reach for one of these......

That is an epic brush haul.

That "ugly" photo is beautiful.

It's the Charles Bronson and Clint Eastwood of brushes.

I would say that the next couple of weeks are going to be most enjoyable for you.

Loving the look of that Chubby 2! I'm serially thinking that may be my next bush. Got a couple Kents and a Shavemac XXL in rotation right now. Never tried a Simpson. May be time.

What size (1,2 or 3) is the Duke? I have the Case and it is just a tad too small. The Duke next to it seems to be the perfect size.

How is the simpsons pure? I haven't had a chance to try a recent simpsons pure brush and since their best is so great I can't help wondering.

Simpson pure is scratchy like a black badger, but the hair is softer. I had a Special and let it go after just a couple uses. To scratchy for me.

Hi Ian,
it is "Pure" hair and you won't confuse it with "Best", however I enjoy shaving with the little Case brush and it is a good travelling companion because it dries so quickly. I can happily face-lather with that brush, but I am sure that many here wouldn't/couldn't.

That case looks fantastic. I'm going to have to see one of those in the flesh sometime.

It is a great little brush. Mine is in "Pure Badger" and I guess that it would look just a little larger with a "Best" knot. Once in a blue moon I will make more than two passes- the brush is plenty large enough for my normal use and great for travelling.
