What's new

the First tabac moment

After Reading on here so much about Tabac on here i thought i would give it a go.
And Why Oh Why did i Never buy this before seen it on online shops and looked at it then went past to the more expensive colorful pucks and tubs and jars
my shave was one of the best iv had in while so silky and smooth

Razor Gillette unknown DE
Brush Kent BK2
Soap TABAC!!
Splash Proraso

best combination for shaving yet love the stuff. now next order will i get MWF to compair or will i just stick to tabac is the question as it works great with hard water

Tabac is the yardstick I use to measure all others against, I've tried some things nearly as good and 1 or 2 as good, but nothing better.

I'd have to say that MWF does not hit the same heights as Tabac for me. I wil re-order Tabac but not MWF.

I had the same experience this morning.

Many people are so polarized on the I was worried.

I cracked it open and I swear I saw a shooting star out the window.

This stuff smells amazing.

I love MWF. I just ordered Tabac, but the cream, not the soap. Wondering if I should have gotten the soap. Well I will try the cream first. Anyway Bigee3005, glad to hear such a good review of Tabac. IMHO you can't go wrong adding MWF to your rotation, too.

biggie3005 satisfy your curiosity and give MWF a try that's the only way to find soaps that work for you. Keep in mind every soap will not make the same type lather with equal load times or amounts of water, trial and error are all you have, the hardness/ softness of water also affects your results so if your water is hard, I'd suggest an investment in a small bottle of Distilled Water.

Chadao, Tabac SC lathers best on the face and softens whiskers better than most other creams I've used and the moisturizing is pretty decent. I like my lathers a bit wetter and this holds up well, it is a bit denser and yogurt like, not much fluff. I'd suggest using a bit more SC to start and make your adjustments when you have the Water/Cream ratio locked in. I always suggest building a lather til you think it's ready to use, keep adding small amounts of water, going from useable to a runny mess, you'll learn about "sweet spots" for any cream or soap that way.

It's always underrated by the Tabac soapers, but I love both, the scent is stronger than the soap, and the last three tubes I bought, I noticed a pronounced Citrus/Orange note which, IMO, complimented the Spicier notes of the cream.
