The Lambda Athena (any metal)
It's a OUMO Climber in Garden color.I am curious about you Brush, who made it.
I’m working with Theo right now to add a titanium Athena to my razor family…This is a long term project but Theo has been more than helpful. He’s a delightful gentleman with whom it’s a pleasure to work.
I’m going with the La Faulx ++. Excellent, close, comfortable shaves with no drama.

I’ve never been good at selecting a single razor upon which to shower praise. This year 3 razors stand out for me. The SS basic polish La Faulx Classic, the 2 Timeless hybrid 0.68OCs and the Rocnel Elite hybrid 2023. All of them have been a pleasure to use and have seen a lot of shaves in 2024, though the Elite 2023 was purchased recently and I’ve only used it 4 times.
I’m not an everyday shaver. That’s a bit of an understatement as I’ve only logged 82 shaves this year with an average of 4.4 days between shaves. I hope to improve that next year and reach 100 shaves in 2025. That’s a pretty modest goal and one I hope I can achieve with little effort. <eg>

Wow….I probably will have 350 shaves for the year. The only time I miss a day is when I’m on vacation…then I do every other day. I don’t have to shave every day but I really like it and enjoy using my hardware and software. It’s kinda like a daily hobby for me.
I work 11 hour days now. I shaved every other day when I was retired. I enjoy shaving so much it’s a mystery to me why I don’t shave more often.
I have tried a multitude of razors new and old SE and DE. Whenever I want a shave that is guaranteed to be close and comfortable I always return to my Grandfather’s 1938 Fat Handle Tech.
Are your honorable mention picks ahead of the Ti Blackbird for you?

I'm currently on a SE kick and regret missing out on the recent BF sale at Blackland. Would you say the Vector is to the Spirit like the Blackbird is to the Overlander in terms of different in shaving experience?
Yeah, maybe. I do find the Spirit with a Feather Pro/ProGuard to be a mild shaver like the Overlander. I started using Pro Supers in the Spirit and my Romulus. That pushed both razors into Vectorland. TBH, I never thought the Vector to be that aggressive of a razor in the first place. I have always enjoyed shaving with the Vector. The Blackbird, not so much.
I actually enjoy shaving when using a DE razor.... while traveling earlier in the year it was boring mach 3 razor heads - so if I had more razors in rotation, those would have been the one!
I still can't remember if it was the feather AS-D2 - I went back and was testing and re-testing a lot of blades out of an old sampler pack I put together a couple of years back. Got done with that after a few months and switched back to the Rockwell 6S - also used during some travel locally, but mostly because it shaves so good.
A few others in there, two I still have, one I don't anymore...
I'm going to say Rockwell 6S.

No. I was just referring to 2024 purchased razors. TiBird is still tops for me followed closely by the Yates H and 3one6.
La Faulx ++ is my all time favorite razor and provides an overall better shave than any of my DE razors.

Lambda Athena. My most used razor of 2024. Every time I come back to it I’m surprised at how good it is.
