Last weekend, I picked up the following vintage brushes:
I'm trying to decide which one to tackle first. I want my next restore to house a 26 mm or larger TGN Finest XH and various other knots in the others. Should the ER150 red brush be able to do the trick with some dremel work?
Nice score! I think the ER150 would take a 26mm or larger knot, but you'll end up shortening the handle a bit in the process. If I were going to do it, before making a final decision I'd want the old knot removed so it would be easier to see what you've got to work with, particularly in terms of wall thickness of the socket.
Is that brush on the far right a Simpsons? I sure like the looks of it-- and the handle should polish up nicely!
Ya they're all in great condition I recently restored a wooden century barber brush and I love the knot but it's awkward using a longer handle. So I want to get a final TGN finest brush restored so I can use one with complete satisfaction
Yes I believe the right one is a wee scott. Vintage that is
