The Best Shave of my Life.and on TV

Two weeks or so ago I filmed a DE shaving scene for a reality show I am in. That wasnt a real shave, it was just for show.

Today I filmed another shaving scene, this time with a barber using a straight. He's an old time Alaskan trained in Munich Germany, hes 75 years old and has been barbering for 60 years. He has been using the same German straight since he started 60 years ago.

Using canned barbasol, he proceeded to give me BBS in just about 2 minutes, finished me off with witch hazel and a hot towel, then shaved me again (different camera angles).

I have been professionally shaved in London, Moscow, Frankfurt, New York and Las Vegas. Never before have I had a better shave than this old timer gave me in a run down barbershop in Anchorage Alaska in less than 2 minutes.

Im gonna treat myself to a shave from him once a month or so.

I hope one or both scenes end up in the final show......

Bunns. On 4th Avenue. Name is Al. He goes to Thailand all winter and otherwise works like 11 or 12 to 5

No thats a different show (which I have never seen, I dont watch any of them except Cops and the Jail ones 'cuz I like wierdos). This one will be premiering in Nov I hear, just waiting for the network to tell us.

Very cool. I haven't had a chance to be in Anchorage for several years but I think I might remember spotting this place walking around downtown. Always nice to hear about a good barber shave to offset some of the horror stories!

The key to me was the lack of prep and the speed. Slap on some barbasol, and start shaving.

I was almost like the blade was an extension of his fingers. He didnt need to soften my whiskers, it was all about the angle and the blade......

Imagine shaving someone else over and over and over again for 60 years.

You guys get to anchorage in summer, you need to see this guy.

It sort of makes sense that I use a lot of these notions and potions, pre, post, creams, ect. to make up for my lack of Experience. And if your shaving another face, it must be much harder. That would make you much better
