Tell Us Your Favorite Frankensoap!

Most of us have been there....you really like a soap and think "this thing would be perfect if it also had _______ ". Or, you get down to the bare nubbins of a stick or puck and don't want anything to go to waste. So come on mix-masters, tell us about your favorite concoctions.

I'll start it out. Currently in my rotation I have a tub where I grated together a couple of palmolive sticks with some QCS Vostok. It gives me that great (and affordable) creamy lather goodness of the palmolive stick, that clean palmolive scent, and a super kick of menthol from the vostok. Super easy to lather as I load from the tub and then face lather with my brush.

I cannot tell a lie. Well, at least not here.

I have a mix of two QCS's (Esquire and Celestial Woods) with a roughly equal amount of Cella (Red Tub); and an approx 60:40 mix of Vitos Extra Super and Mikes Unscented. It is no surprise that both of these mixes are excellent in that they provide thick, slick and protective lathers. However, I have not yet tried to compare the mixes to their component soaps individually. Would be interesting.

I have a dish with mwf and klar kabinett and some
La toja.

i had about 1 oz samples of each of them and after using them individually, i decided to just put them into one bowl all shredded up mixed.

You guys are some mad scientists! What made you mix the products that you did?

I prefer to use my products as is, but I have been known to mix a soap and cream together once or twice on a per shave basis.

Once I put a thin layer of Proraso cream on my face and then loaded my brush with MWF and face lathered them together. Wild, I know.

Looking forward to seeing what other concoctions you guys are using.

QED Badger & Blade + AOS Sandalwood. This is an incredible blend which I have milled together in a bowl. Nothing smells better than QED badger and blade. Just about nothing lathers better than AOS Sandalwood (I don't care for the fragrance of AOS sandalwood though). The combination is divine. Each one's strength overcomes the others weakness. It is heaven for anyone that loves woods.

No particular reason for me, just wanted to try it out. I've had a few that didn't turn out so well...

Hope to see some other mixture posted up here!

I like to keep products separate so that I can adjust the mixture. My recent favorite is a mix of Valobra menthol and Klar Kabinett.
