Ted Pella DE blades, any good ?

hey,

anyone ever tested ted pella DE blades ? i´ve seen them widly recommended for injector and single edge razors,

but i went on the ted pella website, and saw they have their own branded DE blades, well, actually not branded, nice and clean, $41 fro 250 bades, which is an ok price, 16 cents a blade,

but then they have these black/dark blue feather blades, so i have a few questions,

whats with those dark blue blades ? those are full ceramic blades, no steel ?
anyone tested those blades ?

If you are referring to the Feather DE carbon steel blades, Ted Pella's product # 121-9, the description calls them carbon steel. That means that they are not stainless steel, and they are definitely not ceramic. I bought a few packs of these blades in Japan when I was stationed there in the 1980s, and I didn't like them. They were harsh and dragged badly. The stainless steel Feather DE is a much smoother and more pleasant blade.

I am also curious to know if anyone has tried these. I heard the injectors are very sharp so if this could be a plausible alternative to feathers that would be awesome.
