Here's my humble collection of Techs. Honestly didn't realize just how many I had when I started pulling them out. Like lots of other shaving gear these things can multiply quickly

They do have a tendency to multiply like rabbits. If one were to try to obtain all the tech variants it can be easy to lose track of how many you have.
1) Prewar US (typically fat handle versions but I have a ball end version)
2) Prewar Canadian
3) Military issue
4) Postwar US
5) Postwar Canadian
6) Postwar British brass
7) Postwar British aluminum
8) British RFB tech (not 100% on this one)
9) German made tech
10) British made for the French market
11) Ranger tech (TTO)
12) Short handle ball end tech
There may be a couple that I’m missing that I can’t think of atm

German tech. Haven’t been able to find a RFB tech. Maybe I was confusing it with a flat bottom tech

Looks like your German Tech is from the 1970s. Not a #34 but should still shave fine.

If you look at the three baseplates on the bottom right of the pic from the @mr-razor site (re-attached below):
1939 Tech Hybrid England from Richard Snyder.jpg

Left (top and bottom) is the English Flat Bottom Tech baseplate.

Center (top and bottom) is the Tech/NEW Hybrid (aka Hybrid Tech) baseplate.

Right (top and bottom) is the NEW Raised Flat Bottom (RFB) baseplate.

All three are outstanding razors.

Hope this helps. :)

No aluminium handles or bottom plates?

Once upon a time I had two English made with aluminum handles, one an older flat bottomed in a bakelite case with a ball handle and the other a newer model with the ubiquitous diamond shape in the base plate. Alas I sold them both here on the good old BST.

I seem to have a mild obsession with Gillette techs. A small collection compared to some but I enjoy it.
L-R:
Prewar fat handle tech
Prewar ball end tech
Contract tech (late 1945)
Postwar NDC fat handle tech
Postwar NDC ball end tech
1Q 1954 ball end tech

The Tech is an iconic razor among wet shavers. Eady to find in the wild, inexpensive, and a great little shaver. You have a nice collection. Well done!

Thanks. They definitely are iconic and excellent shavers. Though if you’re able to find NOS or a rare variation of tech they can be a little expensive
