Was talking to my partner the other day about shaving and tabac shaving soap and she ordered one for me to my surprise a package was sitting at my door so i opened it and this was inside o_o

It smells fairly close to the aftershave i used half of a decade ago ..musky...deep...masculine...soapy...something else i cant place my finger on ...really like the scent tbh...in the pile of soaps it goes until a chunk is gone :3
Tabac is good stuff. I wouldn’t ever want to be without it. Two things are clear. You have a wonderful soap and a wonderful partner. Cherish them both.

The best soap I have ever used without exception. Inexpensive in the UK, even in the glass jar, fantastic performance, easy to lather, wonderful smell, and it lasts for ever. A superb product.
Yeah top note should be tobacco blossom. I did Tabactober this year and was impressed by this soap. Great lather, nice scent and a month of usage barely made a dent in the puck.
Just don't let it turn to mush with using too much water. Do not EVER bloom it and don't rinse it. If it gets saturated with water you can throw it away. Got ot discard 2 pucks because of that, now I use it in stick

Sadly the joy of ordering from UK online shops and increased shipping costs (almost 3x) from across the Pond breaks the deal for cheap tabac soap.
I wonder what is the cheapest place to get the soap here in the US.

For me, if you pull off the gold foil and stick your nose in a fresh puck -- whew! It's so strong it's tough to take, much like sticking your nose in an open bottle of full-strength perfume. But in time, the scent fades to the point where I think it's quite nice. And both the soap tub and the aftershave lotion bottle are superb examples of mid-century modern design, for those of us who care about such things.
I like everything about Tabac. Narrowing my hard soaps to a handful, Tabac is one of them.
Only proper way to smell Tabac
Stirling de-scented one of my sticks. I just opened a fresh one and then got gifted a tub of Stirling that I 3017ed, before I did that all the scent was gone from Tabac. It stil performs superbly, just no scent to it

Tabac...my first shave soap, and still my very favorite.
Congratulations on your Tabac gift. Your partner is a thoughtful person. It is one of the great shave soap and lathers into a slick, cushion of lather. In fact the only way it would lather more easily is that if you looked at the soap and lather instantly jumped on your face.
