Surrogates

It was an "okay" movie. Wait for the DVD. Interesting concept though. We use avatars in the various websites we all visit (including B&B) that may not necessarily portray us in our truest form.

So, if given the opportunity, would any of you all choose to control a robot that you would use to portray and conduct your day to day life? Why or why not?

I, for one, would not like this idea of another entity performing my day to day activities. It seems superficial and would probably feel like I was experiencing a second hand life.

I saw the first showing of it on Friday. It was decent, at best. I do not think it is worth the $9.50, though. Good think theater employees get free movies

I would not use a surrogate. I did not represent who you are and you could never see who someone else really is. It is like that lady in the alley. It was some fat guy, not a woman. For all we know, your wife could be a man (if we used surrogates).

here latley the brusce willis movies have just been that...wait and see movies...

wait and see it on dvd....with this kind of response it will be out before t-giving...

i want to see it though...but i think i would be better off in my pj's and a bag of orville R's popcorn...letting my green french clay mask dry...

I saw it and enjoyed it. I'm into techy movies, liked the concept but also would NOT want to live through a surrogate.

Surrogate? Heeeellll no. Life would be like one long session of WoW. No thanks. And it would be a lot uglier than the movie portrayed. Lots more obesity and pastiness. And then there'd be people out hacking, stealing, and vandalizing surrogates. It'd be a crazy world. The plot has a few holes in it.
