In my continuing, OCD inspired quest to reinvent the wheel I have been looking on the internet for various sources of razor blades that do not appear to be commonly used. I still long for the day when I make that single, miraculous discovery that helps to elevate the quality of my shaves beyond measure, alas, aside from waxing lyrical about the prospect I have yet to find anything. This brings me to my main point (in a rather clumsy, lumbering fashion) has anyone here ever tried using the DE blades that are manufactured for surgical applications? I am familiar with the warnings about not using blades that aren't made specifically for shaving; but surely a surgical tool would have to meet higher standards than other blades. Also, my logic (such as it is) still adheres to the highly flawed notion that higher cost equals better performance, and surgical razor blades are certainly expensive. Anyone tried these? Any warnings or recommendations?
