Stropp Shoppe shipping times?

Does anyone know if everything is ok with the guys at Stropp Shoppe.....I ordered a week ago for priority shipping and still no package. Ive emailed twice and called with no response..... I hope all is well.

I've also ordered with them about a week and a half ago and still waiting too. I emailed them asking about it and haven't heard back from them.

I don't have first hand experience, so take this with a grain of salt but if you search the forums you'll find that some of the issues people have with Strop Shoppe is poor communication.

MenEssentials is a reseller, I usually order Strop Shoppe from them - partially because I can go to the store and smell the scents before buying but also because they're really good with communicating.

I was not aware of poor communication being an issue. Customer service and communication are paramount in our ever evolving and competitive society. If they have delayed shipping times, or only ship one day a week....just let me know that..... but to order something from them on a weekend and then order something from another East Coast shave vendor the same weekend and have the East Coast package on a Wednesday and hear nothing from Stropp Shoppe is very frustrating.... especially when you choose Priority Mail as your shipping choice.

Anyways, I hope I really enjoy it....

Yeah, I'm feeling neglected also. Next time I'm going with Barrister & Mann or L.A. Shaving Soap Co., they both are excellent communicators. Life over 50 is just too short to waste away pining for soap!

This is the thing keeping strop shoppe from being as highly regarded as the other top artisans. I've had super fast delivery and slow before. No emails were ever responded to, which isn't great.

Don't feel alone, I am having the same issues with Mike's Natural Shave Soap with an order I placed over 2 weeks ago. I had hoped his shipping issues would resolve, but I guess not and I am pretty sure this is the last order I will place with Mike's.

Email response was acceptable, a few days from my initial inquiry. I bought their products in store, so I can't comment on shipping. The products are worth it, I hope you get it soon.

I am guessing they make small batches, and they sell out. You would then have to wait for the next batch.

If this is the case the least they could do is communicate that they are out and the order won't shop for a week to ten days. Or list it as sold out on the web site.

Priority shipping just adds insult to injury. Why am I having to pay extra for mailing when I can't expect to receive my soap in a timely manner? Seagrapes is yet another fine communicator, as is Prairie Creations.

Soap is wonderful, customer service is so abysmal that I make my soap last as I won't be ordering from them again, ever. They are the least dedicated people I have ever had the unfortunate business of dealing with. Obviously that doesn't detract fromthe soap, however in my dealings with them they were both disrespectful and dishonest. And when I raised serious concerns about their services they were both unapologetic and finally just ignored me entirely. I preach how awful my experience was in the hopes that no one else experience what I did again. If you're going to order, both menessentails and shavenation carry their products and are not total disappointments.

I get the small batches thing.... I do, but on their site, under my account, it tells me that my order has been processed. I did order Baker St. Tallow (which today says unavailable). So if that is the case, simply email me and let me know.

I ordered samples of Mikes and it took just over 3 weeks to get to me. In all fairness he did post a warning that he was getting married and shipping would be delayed. After trying the soap, I don't think I'll replace it once I've finished what I have.

+1.

The MenEssentials store is unreal if you can visit. If you can't, they have plenty of stock and do ship. I was in the shop when they were dealing with a Strop Shoppe delivery. They brought it all in and I left well loaded.

Whatever issues Strop Shoppe may have they are worth working through. The products are solid performers. For Canadians, ordering from a Canadian retailer will probably save some money and get you your product faster.

Here's the deal .... I dont want to bash on Stropp Shoppe... for all I know they could be ill, dealing with a personal issue or caring for a sick loved one. I will patiently wait for my order and learn that next time I will simply order more and with a more realistic understanding of their process and logistics.

I wish them all the best!
