Strop Shoppe SE Barbershoppe w Tallow

I bought a tub of Strop Shoppe Special Edition Barbershoppe with tallow shave cream last week and used it for the first time yesterday and while the performance was outstanding, the scent was very overpowering. So much so that it gave me a headache for the rest of the day. Therefore, I have set the cream out on the bathroom counter for the past 24 hours hoping the scent would dissipate but to no avail. When I ordered the scent, I was expecting a clean soft powdery talc scent, can someone recommend a softer scent for my next purchase?

I have the Black Tie, and it's also strongly scented IMO. If you really like the soap, maybe an unscented tub would be good.

Did your tubs scent dissipate after a few uses? I curious about the Lemon & Eucalyptus. Still a great performer!

I started a tub of the Lemon Eucalyptus SE without tallow a couple of weeks ago and it's quickly become my favorite soap. I think the scent is great. It's strong enough and lasts for my whole shave, but I wouldn't call it overpowering.

I wonder if it's not just the strength - maybe there's a specific ingredient that didn't agree with you? Have you had the same problem with other soaps/scents?

No, never had a problem with other cream/soap scents. I've used Castle Forbes, Acqua Di Parma, TFS Tobacco, TFS Neroli, RazorRock Lemon which come to mind as strong scents but not as overpowering as Barbershoppe.

Shaved with it again yesterday evening, great shave but I can't use the product because of the scent. Don't care for the Barbershoppe scent so I'll have to sell on BST. Does anyone have experience with the SE Rosemary Mint or Unscented?
