Straight Razor Neewbie Needs some help

I am waiting to receive my Straight Razor supplies, among them a Strop.

So here's a "stupid" question: I plan on hanging my Strop from the towel rack in my bathroom. How do I attach it? It comes with a standard size D ring I believe. The towel rack is a square 1"x1"x1" bar that is attached to the wall. At first I thought about tying a loop to it from a sturdy piece of leather shoe lace, then the ring on the Strop could attach/hang off it. Is this a good idea or is there a better way?

I don't have the room to bolt into the wall or glue on the hooks that I notice in the various videos.

I personally use an old shoelace...works really well!!

Hey no problem man...Yeah I was confused at first on how to hang my strop, but I found that the ol' shoelace trick works well. People will tell you not to hang your strop from a door handle, but I do & it works out just fine...

I do the door handle lever on leather lace. 2 years it works fine.
