Straight Razor ID

picked this up at an antique show. Never seen one like this before. Blade says Trademark The Perfect Razor and an English script D. I cant read all of the letters of the company name De PE--S. That is followed by Patent June 6 188?
Has anyone ever seen or heard of this? Thanks

Never seen a tang that long in my life! At least you've got a vague idea as to when it was made, which is one up on where a lot of razor IDs start...

Still, Looks like it'd be an interesting shaver, give it a polish, hone it up, and get back to us on how it shaves

De Pews perfect razor. Quite collectable and a fantasic shaver!
