I noticed today I had a sticky blade. After a closer examination I see all four corners are tacky so I opened a few more razors and they are all the same. Is this a defect or is this typical?

Blades usually come wrapped in thin paper and sometimes glue comes off on the blades.

It's normal for razor blade manufacturers to add the adhesive on the blade to keep it from sliding around in the paper and dulling the blade. If you are using a TTO razor, make sure you start with the glue side down. This is especially important when using Russian blades like Astra SP as they have globs of adhesive that can prevent your silo doors from opening properly.
