This time there really is pictures of the Starbucks 14 oz Mug. It may very well be an ideal mug for larger brushes.
Pictured by itself.
Pictured between a typical Tall Hotel Mug and a Target Espresso Mug. Both are the same diameter. The Tall Hotel is too tall to reach the brush into effectively. It is probably a 10 oz mug, 12 if you fill it to the brim. The Target Espresso is close to the same size as an Old Spice Mug and works well with small brushes.
Here it is next to my Ronald Reagan Library Mug. Perhaps my favorite mug. The Ronald Reagan Mug is the same diameter at the top (about 3.6". The Ronald Reagan is about 3 1/2" tall and somewhat tapered. The Starbucks is about 4" tall and nearly straight, with a little taper near the top of the bore.
Here it is between two vintage mugs, an Old Spice and a Franklin Luxury. The Starbucks is about the same diameter as the Franklin Luxury, but the Luxury is shorter. Both are pretty much straight sided. The Starbucks feels more substantial.
Here it is next to a grocery store soup mug. The soup mug is tapered and works great with large brushes.
And here Starbucks and Old Spice are next to brushes I'm likely to use with each one. My Whipped Dog 30 mm Silvertip Beast next to Starbucks and my Heaven Horse High Mountain 20 mm mounted in a Buterscotch Whipped Dog handle next to an Old Spice.
So here you see it alongside several commonly used mugs. At $8.95 at any Starbucks it is easy to find. Decide for yourself if there is a place for it in your shave den.
