Source for Brush Travel Case

McMaster Carr has adjustable length plastic tubes. Follow the link and go to "shipping" near the bottom of the page, then to "tubes" near the bottom of that page, then to "adjustable length plastic tubes" near the bottom of that page.

http://www.mcmaster.com/#

The one I have (not from this source) is 1 7/8" in diameter. They list a 1.65" and a 2.05" diameter with a 4 3/4" adjustable to 7 7/8" length.

Depending on the diameter of your brush, one of those should fit. Check out the price.

I also checked Granger and U-Line but came up blank.

These things are out there.

Sorry for changing several pages after following the link, but the link directly to the page didn't work.

You may have some spices in containers like this one. Works fine even for a big brush like Omega 48. $natures-seasons-seasoning-blend-four-ounce-bottle.jpg

The Superior Shave sells an excellent brush travel tube by Muhle.

The tubes at McMaster Carr appear to be from the same source as the Muhle tube, which I have. I paid $10.00 + shipping (nearly a total of $15.00 to get it to my door). I feel that it is an excellent travel tube for any of my brushes, but i think I would have been just as happy with a $2.50 tube from McMaster Carr.

It's just nice to know more options.

I started thinking about the dimensions, and realized that they are probably measuring the inside diameter, not the outer like I measured mine. So I measured the inside diameter of the inner tube, the dimension that would be important for knowing haw large of a part could be fit inside for shipping, and I came up with 42 mm which is 1.65", which matches the smaller of the two tubes I mentioned before.

So that is the one needed for most brushes. All of my current brushes fit into it just fine. A small travel brush may be a little loose, and a monster 30 mm brush may not fit. $2.05 is a lot less than $10.00 through a shaving shop. And you can get either a larger or smaller one if you have special needs.
