The Gillette didn't get any action. Today was my first successful 3 pass shave with the SR. WTG, XTG, ATG. Darn Fine Shave, but I"m still having trouble navigating the chin. 3 good nicks there, one at the left corner of my mouth. Styptic to the rescue, and I'll have to let that heal, so no shaving for a couple of days. Then I'll employ the Gillette for the chin, SR everywhere else.
Pre: Clinique Face Soap
Brush: Body Shop Synthetic
Soap: La Toja Stick (Face Lather)
Razor/Blade: Parker 71R/Polsilver Super Iridium (S #3)
Post: Body Shop Kistna ASB
First shave with the Kistna and it's not bad. Scents alright and doesn't last very long. Little perfumy for my taste. The Body Shop Brush is just to stiff so far, I am not sure how it is going to soften up in the long term. I like the feel of it and I am one of those folks that just prefers Boar because of the body (not a Badger man), but this synthetic is just to stiff.
Pre: Village Barber oil
Soap: RazoRock ABCBA
Brush: Morris & Forndran 3-band "Super Silvertip", Style-1/3
Razor: EJ DE89 with Templ8 custom handle
Blade: Rainbow (4)
Post: Captain's Choice Lime
First time with the ABCBA, and I like it...a lot! Very refined almond scent without the "sweet cherry" scent sometimes attributed to Cella. Lathered easily with plenty of slip/glide. Blade edge nearly failed completely during the final pass requiring lots of blade "buffing" to clean up my problem area under my chin.
Last time with the M&F 3-band (going on BST soon).
got home off the road today to find some new EdC waiting in the mailbox. Seemed like a good enough reason to make it an "all Speick, all the time" kind of day.

This hotel's hot water comes directly from geothermals and is scalding hot,
just a bit of sulfur, but turns out to be great for shaving, IMO.
The cold water supply comes from a separate, pure, non-sulfur cold underground source.
Best of both worlds.
