I think the Fatip 11 tooth open comb is slightly smoother ATG than the Schöne 9 tooth open comb, but both excellent shavers, and I love both.

SOTD THURSDAY, OCTOBER 22, 2020

The shave today I was excellent. The soap was ok, but it just didn’t provide the quality post shave feel I look for. MWF and Nancy Boy Signature have spoiled me. The Lord straight razor with it’s smooth buttery jasper stone edge was a delight to shave with. Two passes (WTG, ATG) on the mug and two of the same on the dome with my Valet Auto Strop VC3 was all she wrote. I feel smooth, clean and velveteen!

PREP: Cold water rinse followed by Argan Oil
BRUSH: MrEE Monster Aluminum Tuxedo Synthetic

POSTSHAVE: Cold water wash with Glyce Glycerin soap followed by Humphreys Lilac WH and Osage Rub.

Really nice shave tonight. Closer than last night since I had more time and a fresh blade. I do think I probably used too much pressure (feeling it on my neck a little bit) and probably could have paid more attention to the angles, but no worries. Had a little trouble with the lather, but was able to correct midstream. The scent of Hamami is awesome.

The shave was smooth and error free. No nicks, cuts or weepers. When I ran the alum block over my face there was no stinging. I don’t get it. I didn’t do anything different and got greater results that I’ve ever had.

Good lather from the soap. Strong scent and nice slickness.
Shave with razor paired with blade was good...very smooth, comfortable and efficient for 3passes. Skip the usual neck pickup/half-pass to avoid ruining a good shave. Mostly a smooth bbs to dfs result. Super post & aftershave. Rating 9.7/10
