Some thoughts of Rex Ambassador Safety Razor before purchasing

I have been really into this razor recently, but I have concern about the durability. As far as I can see, the spring part is a weak spot, it could fail after a few year usage because of the metal fatigue. Has anyone been using this razor for a couple of years? Maybe share some comment? Thanks.

I have an Ambassador and have had no concerns regarding its durability. Occasionally, I do notice some issues with drag, which I've heard mentioned before with regards to the model. Regardless, I have been pleased with my purchase and am glad to have it in the stable.

Mine is five years old and no problems so far. It's built like a tank!

I've heard polar opposite reviews of the Ambassador... But I'm not sure I've ever read a negative review of the Konsul... I probably just need to get around more. <eg>

No problem, mine opens and I can replace the spring
therefore practically eternal
