Some questions about the technique

I don't own a straight razor, as I'm still sort of new with my merkur HD. I however would like to know the basics of the straight technique. The video on the front page shows the grip, and that video is great. He shaves a little too fast to get the technique.

So would anyone care to, in few words, describe the technique? I'm hoping to acquire a straight in the future.
